Ashleigh Olds, DVM
"Dr. Olds " or "Dr. Ashleigh " is the owner of Aspen Creek Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Olds attended Colorado State University for a B.S. in Equine Science and then attended veterinary school at UC Davis. Following veterinary school, she completed an internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specializing in Equine Surgery/Internal Medicine. All of these experiences gave Dr. Olds a broad educational background covering many aspects of the veterinaary industry. Prior to opening Aspen Creek Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Olds gained valuable experience working in several referral clinics. She has extensive experience in lameness, surgery, and emergency/critical care in addition to her special interest in Equine Dentistry. Dr. Olds also particularly enjoys small ruminant and camelid medicine (goats, llamas, alpacas, etc.). In addition, she is a regular contributing author to Serenity magazine and the Back Country Llama newsletter.
Shannon Harland, DVM
Dr. Harland or “Dr. Shannon” graduated from UC Davis with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed an internship at the prestigious Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. Following her internship, she worked for 3 years in a multi-doctor equine ambulatory practice in San Diego, California. Dr. Harland then spent 3 years working as a fellow at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Sydney, Australia, where she specialized in equine internal medicine and critical care, as well as supervising veterinary students. Dr. Harland especially enjoys internal medicine cases and performing ultrasound exams. She completed a rigorous course in Animal Chiropractic through the Options for Animals school in Kansas and is certified in Animal Chiropractic through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Harland enjoys performing chiropractic adjustments on dogs and horses primarily. In her free time, she can be found exploring the outdoors and hiking.
Dr. Amy Murdock, DVM:
Dr. Amy Murdock grew up in the San Francisco bay area, completed a degree in animal science in Idaho-where she met her husband. After starting a family, she decided to continue her education and completed a degree in Biochemistry before graduating with her veterinary degree from Washington State University. Following veterinary school has worked in private practices in Arizona and Idaho. Dr. Murdock enjoys small animal surgery and emergency medicine cases. She has 2 daughters, ages 14 and 12. In her spare time she enjoys camping, quilting, reading and relaxing with her family.
Tina Dimmitt , CVT – Hospital Manager and Head Technician
Tina completed her CVT at Bel Rea Institute. She has extensive experience with both large and small animal medicine and also has horses of her own. Tina coaches competitive high school and club volleyball in her spare time.
Katrin Eppler, CVT
Katrin was born in Germany and moved to the United States in 2007. She attended Community College of Denver to become a certified veterinary technician. Katrin also has education as a physical therapist for both horses and humans. She has worked with horses since childhood, primarily show jumpers and dressage horses. In her free time, she enjoys being with her husband and her Rhodesian Ridgeback Askari.
Anna Dickey, CVT
Anna completed her CVT training at the Bel Rea institute and her internship at Aspen Creek Veterinary Hospital. She loves anything that involves the outdoors such as hiking and backpacking.
Troy Murdock – Vet Assistant
Troy is originally from Idaho. He has a diverse background working with horses and livestock.
Kate Alexander – Vet Assistant
Kate is an active 4-H member and has several horses of her own. She is currently in high school and looking forward to attending college.
