Ashleigh Olds, DVM
“Dr. Olds ” or “Dr. Ashleigh ” is the owner of Aspen Creek Large Animal Clinic. Dr. Olds graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Equine Science and then attended veterinary school at UC Davis, and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with an emphasis on Equine Medicine and Surgery. Following veterinary school, she completed a post-doctoral internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign specializing in Equine Surgery/Internal Medicine. All of these experiences gave Dr. Olds a broad educational background covering many aspects of the equine industry. Prior to opening her own clinic, Dr. Olds gained valuable experience working in several referral clinics. She has extensive experience in lameness, surgery, and emergency/critical care in addition to her special interest in equine dentistry. She also breeds Oldenburg horses with her husband, Brian. Shannon Harland, DVM
Dr. Harland or “Dr. Shannon” graduated in 2002 from UC Davis with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed an internship at the prestigious Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. Following her internship, she worked for 3 years in a multi-doctor equine ambulatory practice in San Diego, California. Dr. Harland then spent 3 years working as a fellow at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Sydney, Australia, where she specialized in equine internal medicine and critical care, as well as supervising veterinary students. Dr. Harland especially enjoys internal medicine cases and performing ultrasound exams. In her free time, she can be found exploring the outdoors and hiking.
Stephenie Hoke, DVM, MS
“Dr. Steph" graduated from Colorado State University ' s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Prior to veterinary school , she completed a Masters Degree in Anatomy and Neurobiology at CSU. Dr. Hoke moved to Colorado 's Front Range in 2000 where she pursued competitive sports, various riding disciplines, and teaching. She has spent years training horses, teaching riders, and managing barns in California , Illinois and Northern Colorado. Dr. Hoke currently owns and operates a horse boarding facility and a construction firm in Fort Collins. She has special interests in equine lameness, preventative health and dentistry, as well as enjoying working with ruminant and camelid patients. Dr. Hoke is also trained in equine chiropractic evaluation and spinal manipulation.
Jeff Danielson, DVM
Dr. Jeff Danielson grew up in Colorado and went to the University of Colorado at Boulder where he earned a BA in sociology and anthropology. He worked at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center before going to veterinary school at Ross University in St. Kitts. His clinical training was completed at Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jeff and his family moved back to Colorado in January 2008. He brings a variety of unique experiences to Aspen Creek Veterinary Hospital. These experiences have helped to establish a small animal service that focuses on personalized, practical, complete, and compassionate care. His special interests include feline medicine, diagnostic imaging and oncology. Away from the clinic, Jeff enjoys riding his bike, playing frisbee-golf and spending time with his family. In the winter he enjoys snowboarding...and spending time with his family.
Intern doctor: Christina Petrandis, DVM
Dr. Petrandis, or Christina, graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Prior to veterinary school, she completed an Equine Science degree at Colorado State University. Dr. Petrandis especially enjoys internal medicine, ophthalmology and the diversity of ambulatory services. She has been horseback riding for many years and has participated in a wide variety of disciplines including polo, three-day eventing and western pleasure. In her free time, she can be found exploring another continent, listening to live music or enjoying the outdoors.
Celeste Cannon, CVT
Celeste is our head technician. She has a B.S. degree in Equine Science from Colorado State University and has also completed a two year certified veterinary technician program at Front Range Community College. Celeste grew up riding and training horses and has always wanted to pursue a career involving them. In her free time, Celeste enjoys riding her mountain bike competitively.
Evan Hiatt, CVT
Evan graduated from Bel-Rea's CVT program after completing his internship at Aspen Creek Large Animal Clinic. He was hired after his internship and has been a valuable member of our team since January of 2009. Evan grew up in the Conifer area and enjoys rock climbing and exploring the outdoors with his dog, Broker.
Sarah Potter, CVT
Sarah is a Bel -Rea graduate with extensive experience working with horses as well as small animal patients. We are thrilled to have Sarah on our staff on a part-time basis. Sarah is also a certified Equine Massage Therapist. If you would like to schedule an equine massage session, please feel free to call the office. Sarah enjoys living in Evergreen with her husband and her three dogs.
